Sensory Relief Tent – Salem Art Fair & Festival 2025

Provided by NeuroDiverse Inclusive Solutions (NDIS) in collaboration with Autism Society of Oregon Chapter Representatives – Booth 112

NDIS created a fully enclosed 10x10 sensory relief tent designed to offer visitors a quiet, regulation-friendly environment in the middle of the festival. The space included bean bag chairs, sit and spin equipment, fidgets, and noise reduction options, all provided at no cost to guests.

This calm, supportive environment was open to people of all ages who needed a break from sensory stimulation. No sales or distribution, just a free, welcoming space to pause, regulate, and rejoin the event when ready.

The goal of this project was to enhance accessibility and inclusion for neurodivergent and disabled attendees, ensuring they could fully enjoy the festival without having to leave the grounds when overstimulation occurred.
