City of Salem Disability Rights Task Force

NeuroDiverse Inclusive Solutions LLC (NDIS) is honored to be an active partner in the City of Salem’s efforts to promote disability equity through the Disability Rights Task Force. This community-led advisory group, under the Salem Human Rights Commission, works to identify barriers and recommend improvements across housing, transportation, infrastructure, and public spaces. The task force brings together city staff, local organizations, and individuals with lived experience to ensure accessibility and inclusion are central to Salem’s growth.

Dan Dickinson, founder of NDIS, serves as a core task force member, contributing both professional expertise and lived experience as a disabled and neurodivergent adult. His focus includes sensory accessibility, inclusive design, and creating space for voices often overlooked in traditional policy work. Through this partnership, NDIS is helping to shape a more responsive, inclusive, and equitable future for all Salem residents.

Community Conversation Interest Survey

We’re helping the City of Salem Disability Rights Task Force plan a community listening session on:

Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00 PM
Salem Public Library – Lower Level

This event is for neurodivergent (ND) individuals and others with access needs to share real experiences, challenges, and ideas for making Salem a more inclusive city. This short, optional survey helps us understand what makes it easier—or harder—for members of the ND community to show up and share their voice. You can fill it out whether you plan to attend or not.
